Pete spent his early career in her Majesty's Royal Marines before co-founding his first company supplying training and consultancy to the shipping and maritime security industries. Pete then assumed the role of Managing Director of Protection Group International (PGI) Training Division, a UK based, intelligence-led risk management company. Pete has large-scale project experience, delivering dynamic solutions to clients in East Africa, The Middle East and Asia. He has operated in an advisory capacity to FTSE 250 companies, UK and Foreign Government Agencies. His primary objective is now to give strategic oversight and guidance to Frontier Risks Group and its associated companies.
John spent 20 years as an investment banker in the Far East and Europe, with Jardine Fleming and ING Barings. He ran his own Scotch Whisky company for a number of years and now works as a serial entrepreneur and author. His first book – Catataxis: When more of the same is different – was published in October 2011 by Quartet Books. His second book – Bolt from the Blue: Navigating the new world of corporate crises – was published by Elliott and Thompson in 2013. John is an advisor with Partner Capital in London, a renowned keynote speaker on the mastery of risk and the emerging cyber threat. John is chair of Frontier Risks board and is responsible for managing the Groups investment portfolios in emerging markets and advising the management team.

Duncan is a highly experienced, competent and qualified Security Risk Consultant with over 15 years global, operational experience in both the military and commercial sectors. Familiar with operating in high-risk environments, Duncan has first-hand, in-country experience of the threats faced by an organisation, its objectives and key assets. Previous experience has Duncan well versed in providing intelligence updates, vulnerability, threat and risk assessments, journey management and crisis response to teams deployed across the world. One of Duncan’s key roles is managing the continual innovation and delivery of the industry-leading, Security Risk Management Consultants Course.
Professor Edward Borodzicz

Edward has worked extensively over the past 17 years with the emergency services, local and central government agencies and universities throughout the world. Edward publishes in a wide range of journals, and has authored a book entitled ‘Risk, Crisis and Security Management’, John Wiley & Sons Ltd, 2005. Edward’s interests include human behaviour, disaster response, socio-technical systems failure, corporate risk, business continuity, resilience, terrorism, and simulation games for training. He has a wealth of research expertise in the field of risk, crisis and resilience management.
Business Development Director
Aloma has held several senior positions in Sales, Marketing and Event Management operating throughout the UK and Western Europe. Prior to joining Frontier Risks as Business Development Director, Aloma played a key role in the setup and development of a company renowned for its service and commitment in providing Tri-Service Leavers with the opportunity to retrain and gain further employment within the Security Sector.
Aloma is also both Chairwoman and Event Co-ordinator of the Security & Risk Management Alumni. She works closely with the team to implement a comprehensive plan to enable the SRM Alumni to develop as a leading security and risk networking association. As Chairwoman Aloma will enable the implementation of the SRM Alumni’s wider development strategy and will liaise with delegates, guest speakers and sponsors building continual business relations.
Russell is a specialist in the field of domestic extremism and an associate lecturer at The University of West Scotland. A former Royal Marine commando and covert intelligence operator. Russell gained extensive experience working internationally on a variety of complex and challenging projects. Having provided services to UHNWI, Governments and Royalty, Russell then went on to form Hawkwood and Company a specialist intelligence-led risk management consultancy providing services to the UK onshore oil and gas sector. Working closely with the National Domestic Extremism Intelligence Unit Russell was highly successful in implementing strategies and procedures in support of the UK energy sector. Frontier Risks Group acquired Hawkwood and Co in February 2018 and Russell became the Frontier Risks Director of Intelligence. Russell continues to support the energy sector as well as a number of Blue chip companies and private clients.
