Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS)
Frontier Risk’s PHTLS course (Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support) is one of the leading educational programmes for pre-hospital care.
This 2-day course is a comprehensive and intensive experience designed for pre-hospital doctors, nurses and paramedics.
Students are expected to have a good level of medical knowledge prior to the course and are encouraged to read the manual before attending.
Medicine In Remote Areas
Medicine in Remote Areas is an intensive 4-day course specifically designed for experienced pre-hospital providers to enhance the skills needed to manage medical and trauma patients in a remote environment.
It is also designed for those working in the emergency services, close protection, emergency response teams and those who partake in expeditions to remote areas.
PHTLS - First Responder
The PHTLS First Responder course is a two-day continuing education course that teaches the principles of Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) to non-EMS practitioners. The course serves up the core PHTLS content to those who haven’t had EMT or Advanced Pre-Hospital training.
The lectures and practical stations are designed for the type of care first responders can render while awaiting patient transport or when assisting paramedics and EMT’s at a trauma scene.
The course is intended to enable the student to care for trauma patients while serving as part of a transport team or awaiting a transport provider.
